HUMMINGBIRD

I hope this little hummingbird brings you joy as it does me for it's beauty and varied symbolism crossing various cultures that include Joy, Love, Resilience and Good Luck. They also represent tenacity and endurance in the pursuit of our dreams - I like that one.  We all need a little reminder sometimes to make time for our dreams.

Furthermore, hummingbirds are the primary birds that play a role in pollination in North America. Pollen is carried in both their beaks and feathers and I'm very happy to have them in my garden every year.  We have a little blue/green one, with a red throat that has returned for several years.  We have the pleasure of viewing him and he us during his rest on our wash line above the patio, after taking long wing buzzing, deep floral nectar drinks from a host of tubular flowers from our window baskets.
